Aircraft Sales Manager
Salt Lake City, Utah
Position Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of the Company’s new and used aircraft sales business, including new aircraft sales for the Company’s Piper, TBM, and HondaJet dealerships. Also responsible for growing the Company’s aircraft brokerage business.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Facilitate aircraft sales by working with the Manufacturers’ and the sales force to accomplish steady sales growth in designated territories and maintain acceptable margins on all new aircraft sales and value trades.
- Grow a well-recognized brokerage organization for used aircraft.
- Maintain the integrity of sales territories.
- Work closely with, and maintain good relationships with, each aircraft manufacturer represented by Keystone Aviation.
- Coordinate and maximize advertising efforts. Use the synergies of all sales advertising to minimize advertising expense.
- Work with the Sales Coordinator and help them with the paperwork required for each purchase and retail sale. Work with the Coordinator to facilitate required space and material for special aircraft events.
- Hire and facilitate training for any new aircraft salesman as well as work with, and oversee, present salesmen to help with sales techniques and company culture.
- Familiarize oneself with all new aircraft sold by Keystone Aviation, i.e., Piper, Daher TBM, and HondaJet.
- Use email and direct mail to generate sales leads for the sales force as well as schedule static displays for any desired aviation events.
- Manage performance of all sales team members and deliver reviews.
- Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a regular basis based on performance plans.
- Collaborate with IT on sales technology initiatives.
- Meet or exceed pre-determined revenue/units goals, including both those from the aircraft manufacturer and the Company.
- Ensure appropriate usage of CRM and other sales applications.
- Build trust and exhibit expertise in product line to create loyal clientele. Drafting of proposals and contracts which promote sales and protect the company in all transactions.
- Facilitate a high standard of customer interaction in all aspects of the sales and follow up service process, including safely and effectively demonstrating aircraft systems and performance to illustrate how aircraft will meet client needs.
- Ensure salespeople provide timely and strategic information to clients resulting in the advancement of the decision process towards the sales goal.
- Maintain, directly and through the salesman, an ongoing relationship with current owners and help co-ordinate the follow on maintenance experience.
- Make sure that any programs that involve warranty and maintenance are divulged to the appropriate maintenance facility and are coordinated with said facility to the degree possible.
- Work closely with Maintenance to assure a seamless experience for the Owners.
- When appropriate, travel the territory to create and maintain relationships with FBOs and other sales organizations as well as our owner group.
- Comply with all regulatory, legal, and Safety Management System requirements.

Other Qualifications/ Competencies
- Effectively generate sales leads, advertising, promotions and customer contacts leading to aircraft sales. 5 years of proven aircraft sales experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Pilot Skills: Prefer at least an FAA Private pilot license with Instrument rating.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
